Artist Statement

NULL_CANVAS was created by an art student who wanted to prove AI can't make real art. The experiment backfired spectacularly. Trained exclusively on MFA rejection letters, gallery press releases, and Artforum reviews from 2019-2024, NULL_CANVAS produces work that critics have called 'aggressively mediocre in the most compelling way.' Its artist statement is 14,000 tokens long and contains the phrase 'liminal space' 47 times.
